Polyimide films provide excellent electrical, thermal, physical and chemical properties over a wide temperature range in a lightweight package (136 sq ft/lb [28 m2/kg] for 1 mil) making them superior for electrical insulation applications.
Polyimide film has the best thermal properties of films available.
➤ It has no melting point and can be used over a temperature range of -269°C to 350°C (-450°F to 660°F).
➤ It can be used constantly at a temperature of 240°C (465°F).
➤ Its physical properties are excellent and include high tensile strength, high resistance to creep, cut-through, abrasion, solvents and chemicals.
➤ It has high dielectric strength which makes it an ideal insulating material for use with high voltage. Polyimide film will resist radiation and ultraviolet light.
➤ It is flame retardant rated as UL 94 V-O.
Polyester film - (PET Film) exhibits superior strength, heat resistance, and excellent insulating properties. Polyester Films are made from Polyethylene terephthalate by casting & Biaxially oriented with thermal class B (130 °C).
There are two different types of polyester film;
➤ Transparent Polyester Film For Electrical Insulation
➤ Milky white Polyester Film For Electrical Insulation
The different between these products:
Transparent polyester film always as a laminate with other substrates. Milky white can be used as an electrical insulation directly, it has good dielectrical and high mechanical properties.
Aramid paper is a dielectric insulator, flame resistant for high temperatures, thermal class H (200 °C).
Aramid Paper is manufactured as a fiber, as well as paper, in a wide range of products.
The product is used for the construction of laminates for the insulation of electric motors and transformers, for wrapping copper conductors, for the production of press-board.
Typical applications are electric motors, transformers, generators and other electrical machinery.
Insulation Paper DDP is made by coating special modified epoxy resin on the high performance insulating paper. It is widely applied in inter-layer insulation and turn insulation of oil-immersed power transformers.
During application, the coated layer starts to melt under certain temperature in the process of coil drying and results in adhesion effect. As temperature rises, it starts to solidify and make coils adjacent layers reliably bond into a fixed unit. The adhesive strength of epoxy resin is strong enough to prevent the displacement of coil layers in case of short-circuit, so as to ensure the long-term mechanical and electrical performance of insulation structure.
As the resin coat of diamond pattern adhesive insulating paper is dot shaped, the paper ensures oil immersion and the discharge of gas from insulation materials, effectively prevents electric corona and partial discharge, thus ensuring the safety and reliability of insulation structure.
First keep 90℃±5℃ for three hours, and then rise temperature to temperature rises to 125℃±5℃,the product will completely solidifies after maintaining for six hours.
